The wise counsel God gives when I'm awake is confirmed by my sleeping heart. Day and night I'll stick with God; I've got a good thing going and I'm not letting go. I'm happy from the inside out, and from the outside in, I'm firmly formed. You canceled my ticket to hell— that's not my destination! Now you've got my feet on the life path, all radiant from the shining of your face. Ever since you took my hand, I'm on the right way. Psalm 16:7-11 (The Message)

You are funny. I like keeping up with the teams, who is playing, winning, etc. but usually I only watch parts of games. It's hard for me to sit and watch an entire 3 hour game. Unless the Saints are playing (and winning right now) like tonight!
I don't really like watching it. I absolutely cannot watch it on tv. If I go with a group to a game...I end up completely spacing out for about 90% of the game. I like watching boxing though. That is probably the only sport I could watch for an extended period of time.
Football never kept my attention either. One reason is that I seldom feel loyal to a certain team. There seems to be different criteria for loyalty--the underdog, the color of the uniforms, the skill of the band. However, my dad yelled for Oklahoma first, then Texas A & M. I married someone who grew up in Austin. When Texas lost ot A & M last year, Bert was pretty down and I felt sorry for him, but when the A & M band played "saw varsity's horns off--short" I had to hum along.
I also heard that if you can understand football you can understand other strategies like war, business, etc.
Welcome to the dark side. Enjoy!!!
Ive just gotten into watching basketball. But I only enjoy watching football if I am actually sitting in the stands. I LOVE watching golf on tv though... go figure...
Not my favorite thing to do..... I have a hard time sitting still for so long! Good for you for getting into it. I am sure Jason is happy about that.
When we are eating, Mimi actually clicks on a game. So, like mother like daughter later in life I guess.
I'm glad Mimi hummed quietly. It could have really been an ugly thing for her to do loud. Oh well, as the Aggies usually have to say... "Wait'll next year!" Hook 'em.
