Finally a Vacation

Jason and I are here in Oregon visiting with my family. We finally got here yesterday afternoon. Originally we had planned to get here the night before, but our flight was cancelled in Newark, NJ due to weather conditions. So, Jason and I spent the night in the airport on the floor. We finally were able to get on a plane at 8am Wednesday.

I love being with my family. There is always something going on here. My mom is so industrious. She usually has 3 or 4 projects going on at once for which she usually solicits help from the rest of the family. My job was to pick the last few cherries from their cherry tree.

Here are some pictures. Keep checking. I plan on posting some more pics each day. Maybe that will make-up for the fact that I haven't blogged in a while. Now that school is out, I plan to sit down more and write.

Make sure your mom goes easy on the Bible stories...it's a vacation, after all!

I thought you would never get here! I feel cheated that we missed a day of our togetherness.

We are _so_ glad to have Rachel and Jason here. The cherries and strawberries are delicious--the weather is moderate, 60's and 70's during the day--and we sat up late, late last night just talking about everything and nothing. Todd, I can't just turn those Bible stories off and on. :-)

I am the one who is cheated! Why don't you freeze dry me some of those cherries and FedEx them to me?

Oh, and by the way, if you drop an F bomb in class this year and get fired from your Spanish teaching job, I thinkl you might have a future as a USDA fruit inspector!!!
