Save the Plastic Trees!

Jason and I went to Home Depot tonight to get some parts for the lamps in our bedroom. The plastic knobs that you use to turn the lamp off and had broken and we were tired of not having enough light. As the cashier began putting our one item in the plastic bag, I said to him, "I'll just put that in my purse and save some trees...I mean... plastic." This was one of those moments where I just wanted to pretend to faint.

So would you say that "Life as I See It" means that you see tress as made of plastic?

Just remember, trees are renewable, sustainable, etc. The fossil fuels used to make plastic are not. Yes, plastic is recycleable, but it still has a pretty limited useful life. God set it up well when he gave trees seeds, so forests could be regenerated. The forest indutry claims that there are more trees today than when Columbus "discovered" the New World.

Hey from Coata Rica,

Your blog made me laugh out loud at McDonalds. That is one of the places that I can sit and get on the internet. You have to buy something, but then you can use one of their computers for as long as you want. Love and Miss you both, Sarah J.
