Did any of you ever listen to this record as a kid? I used to love it. The story is the story of the Prodigal Son. However, it takes place in Antshillvania (an ant hill). One of the ants named ANTony decides he is going to leave and become famous. Here is the song he sings before he leaves town.
I think it is a really funny song to sing when you find yourself in a conversation about making money or getting rich. Right when everyone in the conversation is convinced they are going to become "rich", I like to sing this song. I'm really weird, I know.

I've never heard of it...but I think I need to talk to you about being rich next time I see you.
You know what? I sing this song to myself every morning as I look in the mirror.
Not really. I've never heard it before. But I think I'll learn it and sing it every morning.
I can SO hear Rachel's voice singing this song.
About 7 octaves higher, of course.
Hey Rachel!
I came across your blog through Jodie's. You and Jason are so cute! I love that you both have blogs.
I have to say, I've never heard the song, but it sounds like one my kids would've played OVER and OVER and OVER again! :)
BTW...I did not post this last comment at 4:46AM!! I am hooked on this blogging thing and all, but I'm not that crazy.
Hi Rachel, Thanks for writing on my blog... I need to use it more often. Happy Easter for you and Jason!! Miss you guys!

Rachel - I don't know you, but I am a friend of Kathi's, and I'm all the way over here in WA state. Anyways, I came across your blog, and that song brought back a ton of memories. This was one of my favorite tapes (remember those?) when I was younger. I used to walk around singing Ansty,ansty,antshillvania.... and I would drive my family nuts. Thanks for the walk down memory lane!

They were so great! I still sing those songs! We love ya, we really do love ya, come on home (doo doo doot) come on home (doo doot doooo doo). ANTony and SamANTha....your post just made me very very happy. Thanks!
I've heard of it. Ive performed it twice, as Anthony & the Dragonfly.
Now I feel like I'm living the musical. Ah memories!
Yes, I loved this as a kid. Now I'm looking for it to share with my children.
